Michael Rasmussen, a forward, signed a $12.8 million, four-year contract deal with the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday.
In 55 games this season, the 24-year-old Rasmussen has recorded 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) and a plus-11 rating.
At the conclusion of the season, he was scheduled to become a restricted free agent as his $4.38 million.....
....three-year contract, which he signed on July 22, 2021, expired.
Rasmussen, who was selected by Detroit with the ninth overall choice in the 2017 NHL draft....
....has amassed 109 career points in 293 games with the Red Wings (47 goals, 62 assists).
On Thursday, the Colorado Avalanche will visit the Red Wings.
Detroit had the second wild card slot in the Eastern Conference going into Tuesday.
