Former Nebraska women's basketball guard Ashley Scoggin filed a civil lawsuit in U.S. District Court.
claiming athletic director Trev Alberts and coach Amy Williams failed to act appropriately
upon learning of her sexual relationship with associate head coach Chuck Love.
In the lawsuit, Love is accused of focusing on Scoggin, and after that, the relationship turned sexual.
Scoggin claimed she was scared to end it because she would face consequences if she declined to engage.
Williams declined to comment, and neither Alberts nor Love returned inquiries for comment.
Following two seasons with the Cornhuskers, Scoggin was fired on February 20, 2022, the same day that Love was placed on paid leave.
Three months after his suspension, Love resigned, and she is currently a student at UNLV.
