NFL Announced Punishment For Chiefs' Nick Bolton

The NFL held off on punishing a Kansas City Chiefs player for an illegal play that the team committed during their Super Bowl victory.

On Saturday, the NFL did not announce the penalty.

The league releases statements regarding sanctions for play from the previous week on Saturday.

Analysts speculated that Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed and linebacker Nick Bolton might be fined for their Super Bowl offenses.

Bolton's horse-collar tackle will result in a fine of up to $8,000, the NFL revealed on Monday, according to Smith

"Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton was the only player fined for an on-field, safety-related violation in Super Bowl LVIII."

"In the game's second quarter, Bolton was called for a horse-collar tackle on 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.

Additionally, Bolton was fined $8,238 for the infraction, according to confirmation from the NFL."
